Kristen Scalise, Summit County Fiscal Officer, will explain the why, what and how of the Sexennial Property Reappraisal.
Under state law and Department of Taxation rules, real property in all counties is reappraised every six years. Approximately 261,000 parcels were reappraised throughout Summit County in 2020. Real property owners have recently received those new valuations prompting questions and in some cases a desire to appeal. Any of us in the home building industry can benefit, personally and professionally, from understanding the process.
